Job Summary
Simmons University is looking for a Research Assistant ("RA") for the School of Social Work. The Research Assistant will provide support for three federally funded training grants at the Simmons University School of Social Work. These projects are collectively known as SIMPACT: The Simmons Integrated Mental Health and Primary Care Training program. Although each training grant has a unique focus, the overarching aims of the grants are to increase the behavioral health workforce capacity in integrated, interdisciplinary health care teams and, ultimately, to increase access to care for underserved populations. The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator and Project Manager. The Research Assistant will work closely with other members of the SIMPACT team. This position is campus-based.
Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will work closely with the Project Manager, Associate Project Director, and Project Evaluator to assist with data collection, data management, and data analysis. The RA will also conduct literature reviews, assist with making slides for presentations, and will help with manuscript preparation. The RA might assist with grant writing as opportunities arise. This is a part-time position.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Health or other related field is preferred but not required; knowledge of data collection and analysis methods. The RA needs to have strong organizational skills, strong spoken and written communications skills, high personal motivation, self-management ability to take responsibility in meeting deadlines and making progress without direct supervision, strong writing and library search skills, be team oriented and highly detail oriented.
