California State University Bakersfield, Department of Social Work, is seeking two dynamic individuals to join our team of committed faculty in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley of California. Our student body and faculty reflect this region's diversity, and focus on social and economic justice, strengths, and diversity.

These are 10-month, tenure-track, assistant/associate professor positions that will start August 2020. Responsibilities include the on-going development and teaching of graduate level MSW courses in an advanced generalist program. Creative, innovative teaching methods, including the use of technology, are expected. Service to the Department, School, University, and the larger community is required as well as the establishment of ongoing scholarly activity in a focused area of research.

Required qualifications include:
MSW from a CSWE accredited program
Earned doctorate in social work (preferred) or related field by August, 2020
Two years post MSW practice experience
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level OR graduate level.

Desired qualifications include:
Active scholarly agenda
Five years practice experience
Social work licensure
Teaching experience at the undergraduate AND graduate level
